The passenger terminal of new Western Sydney International Airport is scheduled to start at the end of 2021 after the selection of the successful contractor by the mid of 2021.
With an enormous estimation of $5.3 billion for the project the airport will have all the required modern facilities. The terminal of the airport will be equipped with public plazas, restaurants, cafes and shops.
The M12 motorway will be connecting the airport to the local traffic network which itself will be costing about $1.8 billion. Construction of the M12 motorway is calculated to be initiated in 2022.
Apart from the road network metro rail line will also be aiding the airport to connect to the public transport network. The NSW state government has recently announced six new metro train stations which will be linking the new airport to the Sydney CBD. The new stations will be placed at St Marys, Orchard Hills, Luddenham, the Airport Business Park, Western Sydney Aerotropolis near Badgerys Creek Rd at Bringelly and the new airport's terminal.
The development of these networks along with the airport itself will be supporting 11,000 direct and other many indirect jobs in Western Sydney. The rapid development of Western Sydney will be aiding in regaining the trembled economic stability due to Covid-19.
